Dunedin is a lively city and offers a diverse range of entertainment, from award-winning restaurants, to a vibrant pub scene, designer shops and original cafes.

Thanks to an active University scene there is a great array of pub activity throughout the year, however we aren’t talking about students swigging back beer and getting loud, think more along the lines of creative students performing live music or even poetry evenings! Check out great live music from Dunedin bands hoping to make it big or enjoy watching provincial rugby on the big screen at one of the local sports bars. There is also plenty of boutique wine and cocktail bars for the more discerning visitor along with some great clubs for letting loose on the dance floor!

Of course there is more to Dunedin city then just food and drink!

If you enjoy performance arts then you have come to the right city! The Fortune Theatre is home to a lively theatre scene in the city, as well as the Globe Theatre and Allen Hall. International ballet and musicals are often showcased in the charming Regent Theatre while the Dunedin Town Hall boasts superb acoustics for concerts, opera singers and symphonies.

The Dunedin Casino is a truly boutique casino experience, from the sweeping grand staircase to the opulent gaming rooms and gilded light fittings reaching up to the magical glass dome roof, this has to be the most elegant and stylish casino in the country!

Dunedin is also proud to host some of New Zealand’s top annual festivals, as well as plenty of popular ‘home grown’ festivals such as the Baldwin Street Gutbuster, where people from all over the world tackle the steepest street in the world or the annual Dunedin Summer Festival.

Orientation Week is a week of madness and festivities during February and March each year when University students descend on Dunedin at the start of the academic year.

Other exciting events include the best of local and New Zealand fashion showcased each year with the ID Dunedin Fashion Show while garden lovers rejoice in October for the annual Rhododendron Festival.

Plenty of outdoor activities are on offer, however on a rainy day take the time to enjoy an ‘indy’ movie at one of the boutique movie theatres or catch the latest box office release at the Hoyts movie complex.

Day or night, there is plenty of entertainment within Dunedin City to keep the entire family content!

Like most people, I have many passions, goals and dreams. As a self made business professional, my focus is helping my clients, associates and friends, build, strengthen and maintain their success. It would be fair to say I am in the full time business of building relationships and feel my purpose and skill is connecting the right people with the right people. My professional work tends to dominate my personal life, to the horror of my partner and business mentor. They both fully support me yet give me the hard truths when I need to hear this. I am always investing in my personal development to have a fulfilled work/life balance. I enjoy Target Shooting, Hiking & Mountain Biking to clear the brain and to take the guilt away when indulging at a quirky cafe for a cooked breakfast or brunch. My passion for travelling has seen me experience the world on many occasions, my next adventure will be doing the Tibet Rail Journey on the Qinghai-Tibet Railway from Lhasa to Golmud as long as they have Wi-Fi aboard ;-) I have many goals I still wish to achieve but am pretty chuffed that I have accomplished so many of these already.
