The dogs love doing this as well and turn into real show offs some of them LOL. Im not into obedience showing (my training my dog would have to increase for that) but mine loves doing the displays as she gets praised and treats and cuddled by all these strange children (that took her awhile to get used to but they do). From our perspective we get to go to shows like Pet Expo , SPCA , Ambury Farm, open days etc.
So if you are fence sitting have a word - it maybe your thing! Most dogs in the team are just the family pet.
Sometimes it even makes a difference - last display we had one family and their 6 year old daughter was patting my dog. The father mentioned she is terrified of dogs but seeing these ones in the display she just had to come and pat them.
