Could anyone please give me some advise. two of my dogs are registered with the British Kennel club, If we are granted PR or WTR then we will be bringing our dogs. Do we register them with the NZKC or can they not be registered.

Here is what the NZ Kennel Club has about imported dogs
Registration of Imported Dogs
1. The owner registers the imported dog. This can be done at any time or age of the dog.
2. The owner must be a current financial member of the New Zealand Kennel Club.
3. An overseas Canine Control recognised by the New Zealand Kennel Club, must issue a Certified Export Pedigree for the dog showing the applicant as registered owner and giving a New Zealand address. This must be produced to the New Zealand Kennel Club. You can email the NZKC and explain your situation to them and they will give you the process on how you go about things. A list of Contact Details for NZKC can be found here

This might be a dollar short and a day late, but it costs about 30Pounds for an export cert from the British KC, and you must be the registered owner, etc. We ran into these difficulties with registering our Labradors when we brought them from the UK as I inherited the dogs with the husband but they were still registered in his and the ex's name, not mine, so it was a bit tricky getting the export certs. And then you register them here .... hope this helps.

Hi Loz
Unpredigree dogs can go on what is called the Part II register, for unpedigree dogs. This enables them to compete in NZKC events and be eligible to qualify for NZKC titles.
