My 6 year old German Shepherd has not had a long walk off lead for many months due to an injury I sustained on 27 April.
Initially it looked as if the cracked ankle bone was healing well but from late August onwards my mobility went down hill and I am now lame in my left leg and not able to walk.
I can propel myself forward with the help of a stick and I've made arrangements for my German Shepherd Shadow to be walked 30 minutes a day by a 16 year old neighbour.
Because healing is a long and unknown process (don't know why I'm lame) I have to make alternative arrangements for my dog.
Ideally I'd like a regular walker who is happy to take him, an alternative would be someone willing to foster my dog or I put him up for adoption, which to me would be a last resort.
Shadow was adopted by me from the NZPolice dog training centre when he was 1 year old.
Shadow is a kind, non aggressive GS, but having been adopted already, it would be fantastic if I can find a walker / part time caregiver for him. Are you able to assist me in any way?
Please email at either Anneke.Hayman@aucklandnz.com or annekemartine@hotmail.com. We live in Brikdale on the North Shore
Thanks already for your attention to my request.
Anneke
