I do not care how young they are, how their life sucks, how their parents don't love them etc, I don't care about any excuses they may spout away, I want the worst things to happen to them.

This may seem crass, but it's time to bring capital punishment back! mad mad mad

Oh my god after reading that I feel sick.
Gee there are some not human people out in the world today.
Rex and I were just saying the other night if you do the crime the public can do the same to you, eg you shot some one or an animal them you get shot etc etc, and no matter what age you are as if you are old enought to kill or hame you are old enought to take the same.

I'm with you Philip - their age & circumstances are no excuse. Imagine the outcry if we kicked them around a bit & chuched them through a basketball hoop.

Whatever their excuse(s) they knew what they did was wrong at the time.

They do that sort of thing at their 'tender' age, what on earth will they do when they no longer have the excuse of youth. More steps need to be taken on dealing appropriately with the youth offenders as they are the criminals and abusers of the future.

I'm sorry, but most kids by the time they are 5 know the difference between right and wrong i.e that you shouldn't hit/kick/punch another living being, so what makes them think it is right to do this sort of thing to an animal??

Call me old fashioned or what ever you will, but in my view many of the youngsters of today have no respect for any living creature. Why don’t they have any respect… because they don’t have too and can get away with practically anything they dam well please have no consequences for their action. Slap over the hand with a wet bus ticket (sorry no slap that is assault) and they can toddle off down the road to create more merry hell somewhere else. Not all youngsters are like this, but I too also wonder what our world is coming too!

The black labrador pup has been adopted by Dave Readings, the police sergeant

who was called to the park in Papakura, south Auckland last weekend after reports the teenagers were abusing the dog.

The puppy was badly bruised and was barely able to stand but did not suffer any broken bones. Several hours later it was still shaking in fear at the SPCA village in south Auckland .

SPCA director Bob Kerridge said the pup was going to a good home where it would get the love and attention it needed and should not have any long-term consequences
