There is a lot in life I do not understand ColCol, it seems the older I get the less I understand !! However I am glad the little pup is going to a good home and has no lasting effects. One very lucky wee lad not to have broken bones or major damage. Good outcome for the pup, now to deal with the thugs that did this....no lasting effects for them too I am guessing...they got away scott free? Anyone know?

Maddog cool

They are being dealt with by CYPS as they are too young.............. no comment.

There's a lovely photo of Floyd on the SPCA page - look at that quizzical little face!

"The Auckland SPCA would like to thank the many, many people who have contacted us by phone, letter and email regarding the Labrador-cross pup that was mistreated by youths on Sunday evening, 29 August, in the Auckland suburb of Papakura.

We have been overwhelmed with support and offers of a new home for Floyd, who is recovering at the SPCA shelter and progressing well.

A Police officer who was involved in the incident has fallen in love with Floyd and wants to give him a new home, which is a wonderful end to a distressing story.

Our sincere thanks goes out to everyone who offered their support and homes for Floyd. The SPCA could not continue to do the work we do without the support of the community and people such as yourselves.
