Hi All,
Well just a quick update for anybody who has been following this thread.
We have just returned home after our 3 wonderful weeks in New Zealand. Would just like to say that if you are thinking of visiting this wonderfull country.....then what are you waiting for, get the flights booked and go......you wont regret a second of it.
After touring both the South and North Islands over our 3 week stay I can safely say I have never visited a country so beautifull, where the people are so welcoming and friendly. We were made to feel so welcome by so many people and have some wonderfull memories to keep forever.
As for the skiing....well after some fantastic advice from Karen, but due to the earthquake disaster, we were forced to change our original plans, and finished up at Cardrona ski field near Wanaka, which I have to say was just superb. We were treated to the perfect skiing conditions with clear blue skies and superbly prepared slopes. A great day all round and one we will most definitely be repeating sometime soon.
As for the rest of our trip, well all I can say is wonderfull, truly a trip of a lifetime....that said there are still a lot of places we didnt see, despite covering almost 3000 K's in our trusty camper, so a return trip will certainly be on the cards.
Was fantastic to meet up with Karen....sorry for being late and then having to rush off....but even so was good of you to give up your precious time to meet us (hope the trip to Aus went OK).
So to anybody thinking of doing the trip, I hope this has helped make up your mind. New Zealand is a haven of complete tranquility with honest, honourable people just waiting to welcome you to there country and as for the dolphins....well go see for yourself.
Jez.. (saving for the next NZ adventure)
