I'm going to NZ for the first time this year (2 weeks). I live in the USA and I'm keeping options open if I ever want to emigrate... has anyone had an experience with living with a host family in NZ? I am interested in hearing from anyone who has lived with a host family or moved to NZ from the USA... their likes/dislikes (if any?)! Thanks so much.

It is a good idea to post messages onto forums such as this to gain other peoples experience. As a company we don't have any clients who come across and stay with a host family but as an American you might like to get in touch with The America Club whilst you are here on your trip in New Zealand. They are certainly a good network for any American living in New Zealand, I am unsure if they would give you advice whilst visiting but nothing ventured nothing gained!
