I'm going to NZ for the first time this year (2 weeks). I live in the USA and I'm keeping options open if I ever want to emigrate... has anyone had an experience with living with a host family in NZ? I am interested in hearing from anyone who has lived with a host family or moved to NZ from the USA... their likes/dislikes (if any?)! Thanks so much.

Hi there

Welcome to the site!

It is a good idea to post messages onto forums such as this to gain other peoples experience. As a company we don't have any clients who come across and stay with a host family but as an American you might like to get in touch with The America Club whilst you are here on your trip in New Zealand. They are certainly a good network for any American living in New Zealand, I am unsure if they would give you advice whilst visiting but nothing ventured nothing gained!

If you would like any further assistance with queries surrounding moving to New Zealand please do not hesitate to contact me on the details below.

We strongly recommend to our clients they they take a recce/fact finding trip before emigrating as it gives vital insight into life in New Zealand.

Good luck with everything

Welcome, this is a great site and very friendly people on board just the best.
The GSDs are pretty neat also, and they even can send posts LOL

This is a great site/forum to ask questions and have a bit of fun along the way too.

Some forums have historically been know to attract a lot of 'negative whingers' but thankfully this is a positive site, giving factual and honest advice...without all that negative rubbish.

Life is definitely what you make of it!

And Grant.....you get all the "birds" - ha ha

Greetings
Hi,I am here to tell about Te Aroha.Te Aroha is famous for having the world’s only hot soda-water geyser and associated springs. Prior to the European colonisation of the area, it was a place highly valued by the local Maori, not only for the waters but for its spiritual significance, as they do today. They would soak in the hot waters to obtain relief from aches and pains as well as allowing the soothing waters to bring freedom of movement from battle-weary or injured limbs and muscles. For more information visit this site Te Aroha
