We are interested in immigrating to New Zealand from Hawaii soon after our son graduates from high school. My husband is a Kiwi citizen and we have a 16 year old son born as a U.S. citizen.

We are currently working on our son's NZ citizenship and are interested in enrolling him into a NZ university after this year. Does he need residency to be able to attend college there as a NZ citizen? If so, how long would the requrements for residency be after he is allowed dual citizenship?
