ORGAN PIPES WALK - MT WELLINGTON
Stunning Mt Wellington has a superb range of walking tracks that leave from the Springs and takes walkers beneath the fluted columns commonly known as the Organ Pipes.
This walk is 3.7km's one way and takes 3 hours return. The walk begins on Pinnacle Track, across the road from the toilets at the Springs where a small track leads to the top of a loop road where the Pinnacle Track begins.
This walk is graded Level 3, which means bush walking proficiency and a good level of fitness is required. The walk includes a 400m climb over 1.8km's and is rocky in section.
Walkers should ensure they have sturdy walking shoes or boots, sun hat, sun block, sunglasses, clothes to suit the weather, raincoat, woolen jumper, snack food and drink.
COAL MINES HISTORIC SITE
Located on the Tasman Pensinsula, this pretty site was once home to 600 convicts with the job of working in the underground tunnels chipping at coal and dragging it out on trolleys. Historic ruins include the penitentiary, underground cells and a mine shaft.
The walk is 2km's return and is graded as Level 1, which means no experience is required as the tracks are usually well formed flat surfaces with no steps or steep sections.

WATERFALL BAY
A fabulous coastal walk that offers great viewing points showcasing the cliffs plummeting into the sea and swirling ocean waters.
The trip takes approximately 1-1.5 hour return and is 1.7km's one way. Park entry fee does apply and the walk is graded Level 2, which means it is an easy walk suitable for most fitness levels however tracks may have occasional steeps and a formed gravel or hardened surface.

BIVOUAC BAY
Escape away from the roads and houses and enjoy the stunning coastline without having to negotiate steep hills or long distances. The walk departs from the super white sands of Fortescue Bay, allowing for great close up views of the sparkling waters and impressive Kelp forests. Keep an eye out for the odd dolphin or seal!
10km return walk takes approximately 3 hours return and is graded Level 2, which means it is an easy walk suitable for most fitness levels however tracks may have occasional steeps and a formed gravel or hardened surface.
