Now recognised as one of New Zealands premier festivals, Kaikoura Seafest has grown from humble beginnings to being one of the major highlights on the national and international festival circuit. You never quite know what’s going to happen until the day comes. Rain or shine its spontaneously local with heaps of interaction with locals, divine cooking, seafood that melts in your mouth, and wines that individually are recognised as some of the best New Zealand can offer. From crayfish to venison and sauvignon to a dark ale, the taste buds will find it hard to make it through the day!

The 14th annual Kaikoura Seafest held in the Takahanga Domain again promises to be the fun-filled day people of all ages have come to love. A huge centre marquee means revellers can enjoy the day no matter what the weather.

Top entertainment will have you dancing the day away and this is complemented with the Chef demonstrations. And be sure not to miss ‘The Big Top Bash” –the weekend gets a kick start with a huge party under the big top on the Friday night.

This year Seafest will run from 10.00am - 5.30pm on 3rd October 2009.
