This years Rhododendron Festival is on 23 - 23 October, there is a selection of 26 gardens that garden lovers are invited to visit, some are open for just the Festival, others for the Rhodo season & others open throughout the year.
There is the "Garden of International Significance" at Larnach Castle which contains special collections of Southern Hemisphere & NZ plants.
The specialist Rhodo collection at Tannock Glen overlooking the Otago Harbour & a selection of both private & public gardens whose owners look forward to sharing their gardens, these owners are members of the Dunedin Open Gardens Association.
There is a charge for entry to some of these gardens.
Tours are available & "packages" can be arranged to suit your requirements.
