The Hanmer Springs Half Marathon and 10 km Run is held annually in the picturesque village of Hanmer Springs, 130km NW of Christchurch.

The race, which is organised by Hanmer Springs Multi Sport Club as a community fundraiser, takes competitors on a unique journey through Hanmer Forest amongst some amazing mountain scenery.

This year the event takes place on 2nd May 2009 and if you are planning on staying the night in Hanmer Springs we suggest you get in early as this popular event leaves Hanmer 'bursting at the seams'!
