To be held in Christchurch on Saturday 28th February 2009, this is a great opportunity for coffee lovers to check out the top barista's in New Zealand as they compete to be the 2009 New Zealand Barista Champion.

The competition begins in earnest at 12.30pm, with each performance 30 minutes after one another, this allows 15 minutes of stage time and 15 minutes for the judges to complete their scores.

Announcement of the NZ Barista Champion will be at 5.30pm.

The National Champion will travel to Atlanta in April 2009 to represent New Zealand at the WBC International Final.
