I found a useful site that enables people willing to immigrate to know the prices of the food in NZ.

I wonder if these prices are correct or it may vary from area to another. Since here in the middleeast you can find food prices in big malls are different from public markets or bazaars, is it the same in NZ ?

You will find that those prices are pretty much the going rate, however Woolworths is one of the more expensive chain of grocery stores in New Zealand, you will find Countdown and Pak 'N Save heaps cheaper, but at least this will give you an idea.

When I'm sending out my Pre-Arrival Packs many people ask for information on grocery prices, so I include some of the areas local mail-outs with grocery prices to help them get an idea.

You can buy produce from produce stalls or markets and yes, it is cheaper, there are also butchery shops that sometimes have cheaper meat cuts, etc, it just depends where you live really.
