Well I thought it was time to report in, I think the olds have been reporting in about me but when I can I will sneak on here and tell it like it really is laugh
As you all know I arrived on Sunday, blooming heck that car from New Plymouth to Nelson made some noise and no view from a window. Never mind I survived and as soon as I was off the plane there was my new Mum and Dad to great me, which was good because there was no hanging around waiting for pats.Talking about such things you should see the selection of new toys I have got to chew my way thru.Mum and dad have got this cool car that makes a lot less noise than that on from NP to Nelson and it has windows all around.I am content to just lie there and let the world pass me by.
When we got to the new pad, WOW,I have cocrete, lawn and gardens to trample over. Then on Sunday night I found out that I have a bedroom all to myself, not inside Mum and Dads cave but all of my own anyways.I am allowed into Mum and Dads cave sometimes and they always sit with me which is kinda cute, I think. But one day they will forget that and I have spotted all the good places to rush to to create max havoc, wont they be suprised crazy Them cute little furrys wont come close, so they are not much fun to play with frown .
Mum and dad took me to this HUGE back garden and boy oh boy you should have smelled all them smells, hope we go back real soon to check it out again.
I do wish Mum and Dad would get fast enough to keep up though as I am getting tired of dragging them everywhere. At the moment I am meant to be traing Mum to give me treats, sometimes she is so easy but other times I have to work hard just for one small treat.

YIKES, maybe I need help?? I heard Dad on the tellingbone say he would be glad to take me to something called kindergarden so I could be taught. Hope they have a different tutor than the one at the vets when I went there to get tutored (I think thats what they called it) eek
Anyway, we went to that giant back garden again tonight, that was fun wot wiff all them smells, the trees and the open grass to run on. Dad runs with me but then we have to turn around and "find" Mum.
This being allowed inside is pretty cool but I aint allowed to play to much but if I lie still Mum brushes me and dad comes and plays a wee bit with me (apparently chewing Dads arm off is NOT playing, something I must remind myself of often). Them dang wee furry critters still wont play but I will get me one one day wink
Well, best go now before they notice I am here and not "ON THE MAT"

Hi there, Bear, this is Dudley from Stillwater - or do I say Wellington? Anyway, my claim to fame is that Aunty Denise is really and truly my Aunty, as her son Hogan is my brother. Yep, from the same litter and all! I have one floppy ear and Hogues has two floppy ears. Anyway, Bear, when you get one of them furries, let me know how you did it, mate! I've been with Mum and Dad since January last year and I still haven't got to properly meet Storm! Breeze touched noses with me three times, but she has opted to go live somewhere else again and none of us have seen her since Christmas/New Year. Last year, she disappeared for 2 1/2 months and came back as if nothing had ever happened. At least this time, it's not me getting the blame, as Storm had been hissing and carrying on at her. We suspect it was him who made her want to live elsewhere.

Toys - chocks of wood are great! I have them deposited all around the property. Just don't go dropping them behind the car wheel or anything or your Mum will panic that she's run over you as the wheel tries to get over the chock (tee hee - good trick, eh!). Tennis balls are great, too, but are too easy to demolish and then you've lost a toy. The indestructable ball is pretty good, too, but Mum has to shut Chloe away from me now, or Chloe boots me off it and takes it over - it's MY toy, not hers! Aunty Colleen organised for my indestructable ball to come over from America - good of her, eh!

Training - "come here" means sit, stay. "Out!" means lie down quickly and hope they can't see you. Got that? But it pays to actually sit or lie and stay until you're told you can eat your dinner, as otherwise you just don't get any dinner at all!

Anway, welcome to the Rescue Clan! Let me know about those furry things....

Hi Bear,

Manny here. Seems we're the same age mate so perhaps we should stick together. If they wont give you the treat, just open up them big brown eyes and cry a little. Works every time.

Hoping you get one of the furry things soon. I've been trying for months and the only thing i've got is a scar on the nose. Let me know how they taste cause i'm not having any luck up here.

Hey you two, great to know I am not the only one working on training these humans things, it can be hard work and the support out there is appreciated.
Todays lesson for Dad was "Dont leave a Bear and a Recycle-bin together while you sleep" Recycle, tell you what I recycled it over the whole yard, right proud of my work I was too, Dad seemed a little less impressed.Paper works the best, man you can get some coverage with that stuff.Tastes terribel though and you keep going Putooo to get it off your tongue.Chocks of wood, was that you Dudley? Are they those nicely stacked wooden bits that Mum and Dad have spent time making them look nice and tidy?Found some of that stuff, still working on what to do with it, you know a dog has to have a plan.
AS far as them wee furry things go, damned cunning sneaky things they are, eh guys? I get a glimpse now and then but they tend to not show their faces to often.
Well, time to sit and wait so I can have another crack at tow starting Mum and dad

Yeah, that might work for you Manny but my Mum and Dad are a right pair of meany bums, that dont seem to work with them.I will have to work on something else, they even cottoned on to sitting and looking proud even when I have not been told to, that one worked for a while. frown

My photo is on the October month of the 2008 calendar - my birthday is in October. I have one of my chocks of wood in my mouth, so everyone thought that particular photo was a good choice! They say I've always got a chock in my mouth! Mum says, "so long as it isn't a chook!" - I'm working on that one, too! However, the three of them have scattered to the neighbouring properties and I can't chase them there!

What did I learn today you might be asking yourself, I dont need to 'cause I already know the answer. Although you can not tow start a kennel you can certainly tow them around the yard, the look on Dads face was priceless laugh .
Also learned the litlle dog (who is not a puppy) across the road is a nasty piece of work, dont think she will be my friend, not untill she gives back the tufts of hair she stole off me shocked .
I am sure I learned other stuff but those are the two biggies for the day. How about you guys, wots new?

Hey Bear, I am Maya #170 when I was your age I moved the gas BBQ from where my mum had put it and tried to bring it inside. Those covers that go over them to keep the dirt off are pretty strong you know and it helps to get the bottom corner and walk backwards. You get lots of praise for being so strong. I don't recommend trying to bring the washing in for the humans though as they are not too pleased when you pop the pegs and the clothes fall on the ground. I did it one day, I was really only trying to help and all of a sudden I got very wet as they tricked me by putting a balloon full of water in the sleeve of the sweatshirt. I never did that again, water is for drinking not for going over your head so I decided not to help with the washing any more. Let her do it, that'll teach her.
