The event is expected to attract up to 10,000 locals and visitors from as far as Auckland and Whangarei all to sample wines from the 10 largest vineyards in the area. Each vineyard will have its own pavilion within the 21-hectare park, complete with marquees, live music, gourmet food from well known restaurants – and, of course, superb wines.

“The Matakana Wine and Food Festival will be a wonderful day out with exceptional wine, food, and entertainment laid on within easy strolling distance at the stunning Matakana Country Park,” says Auckland businessman Max Fletcher, one of the two organisers of the Matakana Festival.
