Methven Multi Sponsored Golf Tournament from 25-26 November 2007 at Methven Golf Course.

The Teva Big Day at the Office Race Multi Sport Event on the 15th December 2007.

During January 2008 the New Zealand Woollymunchers Fine Wine and Lambfest will celebrate the humble lamb but it is designed to have something of interest to everyone with food, wine and entertainment. Held at the Ashburton A & P Showgrounds.

The Rakaia Salmon Fishing Competition is an annual event held in late February, along with The Bloody Good Race.
