Arthritis is the single biggest cause of disability in New Zealand. In its many different forms it is the number one crippling disease facing the world today. In the USA alone there are reputed to be over 50 million people that suffer some form of Joint or Skeletal condition that impairs their ability to enjoy and lead a full and fulfilling lifestyle.
Arthritis is not confined to adults or the aged, as it is reputed to affect over 275,000 children, and half of all suffers are under the age of 65. This is a tragic statistic and one that costs that country millions of dollars in unseen costs and production. You have to question the waste of funds putting man on the moon when we have no cures or answers to date for this insidious debilitator.
More and more we are seeing the onset of this affliction at younger ages and that is a tragedy.
