You've packed up your Tui Campervan and have headed south - all the way down to the bottom of the South Island! Now is your opportunity to enjoy a unique experience that takes you into the heart of shearing sheep and the farming industry in New Zealand.

Shearing South is a Qualmark Endorsed Visitor Activity based in Invercargill and there are two different tours available to visitors who are interested in this important aspect of true 'Kiwi Farming'!

Tour 1
Shearing South is the starting point for the tour where you are given an entertaining and enlightening education on all aspects of the New Zealand Shearing industry from the 1860’s to present day, including a DVD production.

After experiencing this exhausting occupation from the comfort of the warm Theatre area you will be transported through scenic farmland to a working Shearing shed in action before returning to Invercargill.

Tours depart twice daily or by arrangement and last for approximately 2.5 hours.

TOUR 2:
The tour begins in the unique Shearing South venue. After an enthralling experience your guide will narrate the remainder of the tour while you sit back and enjoy a variety of remote scenic countryside vistas, as you travel to the authentic Shearing shed passing a variety of farm animals along the way.

After watching the mesmeric art of Shearing on location you will stop off for a typical kiwi farm lunch or dinner at a country restaurant. Following your delicious meal, your journey winds to an end as you arrive back in Invercargill.

Tours depart twice daily or by arrangement and last for approximately 4.5 hours.

Shearing South is located at 55 Dee Street, Invercargill.

Just another Qualmark activity that I suggest you experience while travelling around New Zealand in your Tui Campervan!
