I'm having to have a re-think about the fencing around my property. In most places it's just 4ft in height and this is proving to be ineffective with the new dog - who's a jumper.
Anyhooo, I have looked at the posibility og putting down one of these fencless barriers, where a sound/ shock is passed to the dog through the collar if they approach the boundry of the fence. These fences do work at keeping your dog in unless the interest on the otherside is far greater than the impending shock. However it does nothing to keep any stray dogs out of your property and coming in to have a go at your dog. It also is not a deterrant to burglars.
