Mountain Bike Ride or Nature Walk

Never thought this event would have turned out as good as it has, we now have a fantastic group of people of all ages and fitness levels who are building friendships that you dont find everyday and that is what it is all about! So if you are stuck in a life rut and need a little motivation this is your moment to shine.

THREE EVENTS

WALKERS

Nature Walk (NEW) – leaves at 9:00am (approximately)

The walking trail up to 11km starts and finishes at the Mcleans Forest Car Park. This trail twists it’s way through a working exotic pine forest (so the brochure said) bring your dog!

RIDERS

Bike hire is available $20 per ride and no need to book!

1st time riders who have not done much riding – we recommend you turn up between 9:30am and 10:00am to setup your bike the die hards are normally returning from the 9:00am ride about 9:30-45am and we are normally ready to start the main ride at 10:00am so this will give you time to greet people and ask any questions.

Faster Ride – leaves at 9:00am (approximately)

10km or 15km loop for those who like to ride hard, this will be starting BEFORE the main event leaving at 9:00am. You can pear up or try to keep up with Nigel and Rob who normally have already completed a lap! The point of the “Faster Ride” is you can push yourself or just cruise, so it is not a group ride.

Slower Ride – leaves at 10:00am (approximately)

It is a 10km ride with an optional 5km loop (15km), if you have never ridden at McLeans Island Forest it is a very easy ride for all, we stop and chat about 4-7 times along the way depending on group and topic NO ONE is left behind.

I drive a Hyundai Santa Fe (Silver) with Personalised Plates (CMYURL) We gather at the picnic table that can be seen as you drive in! Please feel free to come along it is a healthy way to keep active and meet some great people we all meet after at 12:00pm at the Coffee Shop!
