Originally opened in 1956, Mt Roskill Intermediate School was completely remodelled during 1995 and currently has a roll of over 800 pupils, including a teaching staff of 43 with 6 specialist teachers who teach Art, Performing Arts, Information Technology, Food and Materials Technology, Hard Materials Technology and Special Needs/Students with Special Abilities. The School also caters for Children with Special Needs and Special Abilities, produces an annual musical production and involves all students in a wide variety of enrichment activities.
